Occupy Suit

I have to wear a suit for work in these Occupy times, and it's a trip stopping by the store in my town before or after work. I've gotten comments from people I've never seen before in my life. How do they know it's weird that I'm wearing a suit? I think I'd feel better about it if I were in the 1%. Or, at least I'd be wearing a better suit.

Yesterday, I stopped by Whole Foods just before I left town for work. The checker snorted with laughter when I got to the front of the line, "You look like a banker!" He stopped ringing my items to stare. I guess he wanted to know what I do for a living.

I'm not a banker.

"Well, you look like one."

Thanks. I'm not. I get heckled a lot about this, so . . .

"Because this is (name of town censored). If you're not a banker, wear jeans." He pointed to his jeans.

Right.

Anyway, that's the latest from me and my suit. More soon.
